Plan Your Study Time:
When you sit down to study, think about how much time you want to
devote to each topic. This will keep you from getting overwhelmed.
Study Based on the Type of Test You're Taking:
Many teachers tell students ahead of time what the format of an exam will
be. This can help you tailor how you study. Think test format and question
types.
Resist the Urge to Procrastinate:
It's tempting to put off studying until the last minute (we know!) but by the
time students get to finals and AP season there's so much going on that
you might not have time to put it off.
Start a Study Group:
Sometimes it can be useful to go over things with people who are
studying for the same test.
Make the Most of Class Time:
Attend all classes, pay close attention to the lectures, and take notes
in a way that makes sense for you. The goal is to be able to
understand your notes when you review them later.
Find a Good Study Spot:
Some people like silence and some like
noise. Wherever you go make sure it is a
place where you can focus and avoid
distractions.
